What’s new in Prism Apps 2.0

In preparation for the launch of Prism Apps 2.0, we have shared previews of upcoming enhancements on LinkedIn and hosted insightful discussions with our current Prism Apps users to gain feedback and reassure clients that no existing features will be withdrawn from the system, they will only be enhanced.

Throughout 2024, our in-house software team implemented over 400 development modifications to Prism Apps and built six bespoke modules in direct response to client needs. Many of these enhancements will be included as standard in Prism Apps 2.0.

The team has been busy making the changes and introducing these to clients through user calls and social media updates, so below we have summarised the key improvements which have been introduced in the updated system.

Overview

Prism Apps 2.0 is focused on efficiency, and user experience. The new version introduces a streamlined interface designed to reduce the number of clicks needed to complete key tasks. From the moment users land on the homepage, they can now raise a Risk, Action, Management of Change (MOC), or Lesson Learned in just a single click. Improved navigation, faster loading times, and enhanced responsiveness ensure that users can access the information they need without delay.

Landing Page

The updated user interface features improved graphics and supports both light and dark modes. Functional enhancements include a customisable dashboard that can be branded for each client. Users can now quickly access favourite activities and benefit from a more unified display of modules on the new landing page.

Customisations

Prism Apps 2.0 brings enhanced modular customisation. Users can create dashboards, modify register columns, and enhance forms by adding free-text boxes, tick-box categories, and more. The Admin module has also received a layout overhaul, making it easier to manage and apply customisation settings across different modules.

Process Mapping Integration

One of the significant updates in Prism Apps is the integration of Author, our Quality Management and process mapping tool. Alongside this, the Audit module has been completely overhauled, meanwhile Document Control Capability (DCC) supports end-to-end compliance and traceability.

Prism Apps 2.0 is expected to be completed and rolled out to clients from the end of August 2025 onwards.
